Are online Kentucky real estate school classes approved for credit?

Kentucky Real Estate Schools No Comments »

Kentucky real estate school pre-license online courses are now approved by the Kentucky Real Estate Commission. (KREC) Why is it necessary for us to point out our classes are approved? It seems not a day goes by when we get asked “Are your online classes really approved for credit?” It makes us wonder where people are getting their information, but here’s the time line of all our approvals.

In November 2006, Thornton’s Real Estate Academy became the only primary provider in Kentucky (we create our own classes) to receive approval for online continuing education course for real estate agents.

In February of 2007, as a result of two years of design and planning, Thornton’s Real Estate Academy received permanent approval from the KREC for the first ever all online 96 hour pre-license course. (Excluding final proctored exam)

The certificate you receive from us at course completion is no different than one you’d receive at any other school because it meets all the KREC requirements. On second thought, there is one big difference. A certificate from another school will have cost you a whole lot more money.

Kentucky Real Estate Schools. The following is a list of all accredited pre-license education real estate schools in Kentucky. Now you might be wondering why we would give you a list of other Kentucky real estate schools. It’s really very simple because we believe we provide the best value in real estate education and we don’t mind you shopping around because we think you’ll be back to register for our classes. (At least if you decide to take your courses online) If for some reason you decide you’d like to attend a “traditional classroom” setting, please check below for a school offering classes in your area since we only offer “online pre-license.”

“Value is not what you spend on something.
It’s what you get out of something.”

If you’d like to learn more about our course to become a Kentucky real estate agent click here. To make it easier to compare schools and classes, we also list all the approved Kentucky real estate education providers below (each click will open a new window so you can compare side by side) with the exception of companies who’ve requested we take them off of our list. We think it’s bizarre they wouldn’t want to show up since we probably have more website traffic than any other Kentucky Real Estate School, but “to each their own.”

Schools listed with no hyperlinks have no website posted on the Kentucky Real Estate Commission website.

Looking for a related field other than Kentucky Real Estate Sales?

We seem to get questions on other related fields in addition to becoming a real estate agent. The two most common are how to become an appraiser and how to become a home inspector. We don’t currently offer classes in these specialties, but we’ve provided the links below to the Kentucky government offices/agency that license each group.
